I’m Back! A Little Life & Reading Update

I don’t know how some people do it. Keeping up with multiple accounts, staying connected, local events, and just everyday life. It’s a lot… but I’m back.

I missed sharing my reviews here and talking more about the books I’ve been reading and what’s going on with the shop. I just needed a little time to get everything back in order.

A little update on my reading so far this year. I’ve been busy, but in the best way. We started not one, but two book clubs this year. One at Juice Buzz in Solomons Island and another at The Sweet Little Shop in Port Republic. Getting to bring the book community together through in-person events has been so much fun and something I’m really proud of.

We’ve also had some incredible books coming in from amazing indie authors, so be sure to check those out. From signed copies to new releases and some of my recent favorites, I’ve been surrounded by stories that have kept me hooked, and this is just a glimpse of what I’ve been diving into lately.

I’ve also got some exciting events coming up. I’ll be at Solomons Island on April 26th (right after Indie Bookstore Day), and it’s going to be packed, so if you’re local, definitely come out! I’ll be set up from 9–3.

After that, I’ll be at the Lavender Festival at Dixon Family Farm in June, and back at the Calvert County Fairgrounds on July 3rd for their Star-Spangled Spectacular.

Other than that… just life. Busy, chaotic, but good.
