Marjorie Valdez doesn't get lost– she just happens to find herself traveling between times.
But on the edge of thirty and getting laid off after moving to the South for a job, her future does seem uncertain. Rather than go back to California, she moves north of Atlanta to the small, picturesque town of Marietta, and on the surface, her decision seems spontaneous. Yet, Marietta holds more for her than just a fresh start. It is the hometown of Simon Grace—a man she met in 1964, and didn’t think remembered her– until she hears his voice crooning the song they danced to all those years ago on the dusty record that she finds in the antique shop.
Using her gift of time traveling to find him, Marjorie is drawn deeper into Marietta’s history and the people who shape it. But being pulled into the past brings adventure as much as heartache, and she begins to understand that the life she’s building in Marietta, in the present, is exactly where she is meant to be.
